SmartWork Media Wins 2 Golds at FOLIO Awards

The group's newest publication, Global Cannabis Times, was honored for "Best B2B Launch".

MONTCLAIR, NJ (September 23, 2022) – SmartWork Media took home two gold awards, amongst its haul of four total honors, at the recently announced FOLIO Eddie and Ozzie Awards, one of the most prestigious award programs in B2B media.

SmartWork Media’s newest publication, Global Cannabis Times, won gold for “Best Launch” for the magazine’s debut Winter 2022 edition. The magazine, led by Editor-in-Chief Damon Poeter and lead designer Victor Cantal, included a feature on the career origin stories of several cannabis professionals, as well as an in-depth cover interview with Jim Cacioppo, CEO of fast-growing cannabis retail and cultivation company Jushi Holdings.

Group managing editor Chris Burslem also earned gold honors — taking the top prize in the “Instructional/How-To Article” category for his story, “Lean”, in the February 2022 edition of INSTORE. The story provided a fascinating, in-depth look at how jewelers can use lean philosophies to run their stores more effectively.

Other FOLIO honorees were Signs of the Times, which was a finalist for “Best B2B Redesign” and designer Marc Abuan, who was a finalist for his “Holiday Whoppers” design treatment in the December 2021 edition of INSTORE.

Winners were recognized at an awards event held Sept. 13 at City Winery in New York.
