SmartWork Media Nominated for a Record Four Jesse H. Neal Awards

Company’s new pet business publication recognized for Best Single Issue.

MONTCLAIR, NJ (February 22, 2018) – SmartWork Media, publishers of INSTORE, INVISION and PETS +, has been nominated for four Jesse H. Neal Awards. The categories include best single issue (PETS+, July-August 2017), best website (instoremag.com), best instructional content (“PR Powerhouse,” INSTORE; writer: Eileen McClelland) and best editorial use of data (“The Big Survey,” INSTORE). The winners will be announced at an awards ceremony in New York City on April 5, 2018.

“I couldn’t be prouder of our whole editorial team,” says David Squires, SmartWork Media group editorial director. “This is the single largest number of Neal Award contenders we’ve ever had. We’re particularly proud of PETS+, our newest publication for pet store and pet service business owners, now in its second year. To be considered for a ‘best single issue’ award at this point in the magazine’s existence just shows what an amazing publication our team is putting out.”

SWM’s original flagship publication, INSTORE magazine, was nominated for its website (instoremag.com) and two separate feature articles. “PR Powerhouse” (February 2017) provides a do-it-yourself primer for retailers who may not be able to afford professional public relations services. “The Big Survey” (October 2017) is a data-filled and richly illustrated special feature sighting trends and gaining insights into the state of the retail jewelry industry in 2017.

SmartWork Media products are designed to help retailers in the jewelry, eyewear and pet products industries to do business more effectively and efficiently. The company has earned 110 awards since 2004, making it one of the trade publishing industries’ most decorated companies.
